Because of a woman’s ability or choice to pay their way, head the house, and have children by artificial means, they have eradicated man’s role or purpose.
Men are now in a state of "crisis"; sending them reeling into a state of hyper-masculinity or depression. As gender or sexuality is not something we're born with, rather something one self-assigns based on social scripts, men look to each other for cues on how to perform in front of the empowered woman.
In a sense, though, we have come full circle as women now, in a “celebration of their innate feminitity” (29) hyper-sexualize how they portray themselves, and—very sexily clad {of their own choice, of course}—have been "put back in their place."
Baring breast, downing shots, playing football in their skivvies, women choose to become a spectacle to show-off their uninhibited confidence or strength in their gender or sexuality; they also become every heterosexual lad’s fantasy.
Popular media has spotted the masculine crisis as well as the third-wave feminist and capitalized on its incredible ability to sell—to both men and women.
